Overview

Deerwood Country Club is a challenging 18 hole links style course in the heart of South Jersey.  Featuring an elegant clubhouse with pro shop, restaurant, bar, and nicely appointed locker rooms. Its course is well-manicured and maintained with bent grass greens, tees and fairways.  The front and back nines have two par threes and one par five each. All 18 holes were designed to allow golfers to use their skills in the placement of shots to best arrive at the green. Many of the holes span natural preserves or water, and have well placed waste and sand bunkers in the fairways and guarding the greens. The greens are generally fast with variations of break and undulation. The course is well marked with yardage stakes and yardage to the center of the green engraved on fairway sprinkler heads. Carts are required and each golf cart has a pin placement chart. The course's 250 acres of preserve and wetlands come into play throughout the course. Ponds are a significant danger on holes 3, 5, 7, 11, 14.  The 5.5 miles of cart paths and 1,700 feet of bridges over natural preserves provide a unique visit with nature.

Signature Hole

Hole #3

One of the finest short Par 4 holes in South Jersey. Truly picturesque and a great representation of the naturalness and challenge of Deerwood. An iron or fairway wood is recommended off the tee favoring the left side of the fairway. This sets up a medium to short iron to the green avoiding the wetland carry to the right. Beware, however, a lateral water hazard guards the left side of the green and wetlands guard the right side.
